Why Are Black Americans So Mean To Each Other?

I was doing my normal review of post in various Yahoo groups that I belong to, and a wonderful lady asked this question in a post for one of the groups. Of course, I couldn’t pass up on this question, so I posted a response. After reading my response again, I thought it was good enough to add it as a permanent fixture on the site. Here it is below:
In
2005, it is totally justifiable for some blacks to be angry, mean or frustrated
towards other blacks. In 2005, there are NO MORE "colored"
bathrooms. In 2005, there are NO MORE blacks being FORCED to sit on the
back of bus any more. Hell, dare I say it--black men can actually whistle
at white women in 2005, even MARRY them if they want.
These
facts are what leads to the anger and frustration within the blacks who actually
have functionally operational brains today with those who still claim
"racism" for all their social ills. Does racism still exist?
Sure it does. However...
Racism
didn't get any of these "hood rats" pregnant.
Racism didn't
force any of these children to drop out of school.
Racism didn't make
them sell drugs.
Racism
didn't make them rob a store, or break into a house.
Racism
didn't make them steal a car.
Racism
didn't barricade any of our nation's libraries, either.
In
a free country, with access to INFORMATION, you have access to opportunities to
succeed in this country. What fuels the anger within our race is that
there are those like myself, who are frustrated with those "program"
blacks that REFUSE to take the necessary steps that could lead to their success.
They would rather wait until the next perfect government (taxpayer) funded
PROGRAM to rescue them. Government PROGRAMS do NOTHING but ensure your
dependence on them for life, thus hindering one's chances of an actual
successful life. Government PROGRAMS, by design, are NOT intended to lead
a person to success, or independence because it would be an oxymoron. They
want you to want government more and more, and this is why the program will only
give them just enough to stay alive. Instead of doing the things to keep
themselves from needing these loser-based programs, the "program"
blacks continue to do the very things that leads them to the cradle of
dependency. Not only that, their culture WORSHIPS the behavior.
There's NO peer pressure to
develop a marketable job skill (remember, if a black person strives to educate
themselves, they are called "acting white" and "Uncle Tom"
etc. There's NO peer pressure
to even look employable.
"Program" blacks are the main ones that are bitching about jobs, etc,
however they look like scarecrows and expect to get a "white-collar"
job? I don't think so.
There's NO peer pressure to speak the "King's" English, either. Intelligent thought and articulation are totally suppressed in the community, and this is a crying shame. However, (today's) hip-slop music is deemed the "voice" of black Americans. The way they are depicted in the videos are totally disgusting. Other races and nationalities use the "video" model to make their own personal assessment of black Americans, and this is an insult to those of quality, value and worth.
There's NO peer pressure to
ABSTAIN from sex until marriage, either. Black Americans (especially men)
must be horny all the time, and over sexed beasts 24-7-365, or else their
sexuality is questioned. They
are exempt if they have
children, however. The earlier, the better. Unlike white Americans
(generally), we have to have our children as EARLY as possible, preferably
BEFORE 25, in order to "get them out of
the way" REGARDLESS if we are
financially, spiritually, or emotionally prepared to actually CARE for them
properly. Despite the futile AIDS numbers for Black Americans, I see no
signs of slow down in reckless sexual activity, all because their POPULARITY is
the most important priority in their lives. This is a sad commentary, but
true.
This is what leads to the
anger and division internally within our race. All we needed was access to
the same OPPORTUNITIES as our white counterparts. In 2005 we do.
Generally speaking, if we educate ourselves, abstain from sex (at least making
children) before marriage, and/or develop a MARKETABLE job skill, we can make it
here. We can be successful. What's infuriating is for people like
myself to see the "program" blacks squander their opportunities, in
favor of a piss-poor government (taxpayer) check THAT THEY DIDN'T DESERVE.
The truth of the matter is that they could make more money if they got off their
asses and worked, and furthermore, they would take PRIDE in their earnings.
Why? Because they EARNED it.
People like myself (who DON'T
depend on the government for nothing more than to protect our 3 basic
Constitutional rights) are sick and tired of "footing the bill" for
those who are INTENTIONALLY irresponsible. Irresponsible behavior should
not be rewarded in this country. There is no reason an able-bodied person
should be out of work. If the job doesn't pay "enough", then
it's not the employer's fault--it's the perspective EMPLOYEE'S fault because
they didn't provide the perspective employer with enough credentials
(justification) to warrant a higher salary. There are several of us that
understand this, and the "program" blacks don't want to address this
issue--they would rather sit back and blame OTHERS for their own problems due to
their own poor decision-making.
As for blacks that would rather see
whites in a leadership position, it is for a very good reason:
Chances are very good that
the organization will be professional. A
white person will tend to make a hiring decision based on qualifications--not
color ONLY. Contrary to popular belief and opinion, this is what blacks in
hiring positions tend to do--make hiring decisions based on color, and that's
why the organizations aren't as successful. True enough, if all operatives
(qualifications) are equal, either race will favor their own race over the
other. It's not an issue of racism--it's an issue of comfort. Black
people do the same thing.
We are also in a trap, because our message gets suppressed from the very people who need to hear it. This is what I'm going through in trying to get this show back on the radio. For example, if I were a hip-hop D.J., I would already be on. However, providing black Americans with a forum to discuss matters of relevance from an INTELLIGENT perspective if a totally different animal, as I'm experiencing. This is just a brief summary of some of the reasons that blacks are mad at each other. The "program" blacks believe that we (the responsible) should do even MORE, while on the other hand we (the responsible believe that we shouldn't be doing virtually anything at all for these people. This is the dilemma that we face today.

Much Like Mr. Cosby Bro, You are only skimming
the surface with your simply reasoning thoughts. What about better schooling?
What do you think happens to black kids (lets say in a hood such as Harlem),
that cannot get a good education because of the school systems. Yes, there will
be a select few that will overcome this situations, but Do you know how many
will fall through the cracks, thus answewing the question that you pose...
Becoming baby mommas and selling drugs. There are so many good kids in the hood
that become products of their environment (thats even with responsible
parenting). They simply dont get the same quality of schooling and education.
Which brings me to my next point... Many of the folks in the political seats
have no concern for the lower class, thus cutting spending for education or
simply not giving it. This a very real circumstance that you fail to identify
with...which is a direct trickle down affect that affect black communites. This
is why organizations
like the NAACP are much supported by me. They identify seious issues of our
people (although I know you say "black arent my people"????????) and
get black people off their asses to vote for change. I feel you are a bit lost
in your views. I feel you dont help blacks in any shape or form. I think
red-necks will love your material more. Please look at the surface of our
people a bit closet my brother, because it is so much deeper than what you
proclaim. Im sure you have many other letters not as friendly as mine. But
again you are off the mark, coming from a very bad angle that you seem to think
is clever.
Sincerly
Your brother.
